  1. Can somebody put a link here where you can purchase parts for models such as wheels, tires, motors, sheet plastic and the such. Thanks.

...this was a good model swap and show, also a great car show on main street.
Marty was there; maybe he'll chime in with some more pics...

Sometimes your best (and cheapest) bet is to buy more models. Look for 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 models that have tons of engines, wheels, and tires. The Revell '50 Ford pickups have Flatheads with Ardun heads, the '37 pickup and '48 Woodie have nice Flatties as well. Same for the Deuce versions they make.

I picked up a '62 Impala 409 for the engine mostly, and may end up using the nice steel wheels on my '37 Ford Pickup. Plus I have another body to play with and tons of parts!

Engines: Gibson Motors makes some, Scale Dreams sells them:

The Parts Box has some nice flatheads, and Model Car Garage makes some parts for them (lots of fun details for kits, too...bunch of photoetch). Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Maryland makes some very nice looking stuff.

Wheels and tires: The Modelhaus has a good selection, if you can find pictures of what you're getting. Some links to some pictures of their stuff:

Sheet plastic: Red Frog Hobbies sells a lot of Evergreen Plastics styrene. Good customer service.

Here's a link to about 2837952 other links to resin sites:

Bandit Resin makes bunches of bodies, plus some nice looking headers and wheels: http://www.banditresins.com/resin_parts.html

Strada Sports, Island Collectibles have tons of different brands they sell. Strada's website isn't the best but they have great selections.
