If you're free, and in the area on Saturday come check it out. Real laid back, cool cars, good bands, enough booze, definitely my favorite local show. Starts at high noon, Saturday July 9th. Downtown Vancouver, WA around 9th and Main St. "The Big Shindig is back in 2011 and stronger than ever thanks to The Deviants CC who will be co-hosting the show and the Dublin Down for keeping it lubricated. The Big Shindig is a tribute to traditionally styled rods, customs, bikes and the people who possess the talent and creativity you can't buy from some jackass in California. We encourage owner built rides, 1963 or earlier. As always $10 to register and free to the public. Three different bars, raffle prizes, live music, food, tattooing and much much more. We are proud to announce that Classic Tattoo Club will be sharing the day with us celebrating it's grand opening There will be Shindig tattoo specials all day master minded by Jeremy Maurstad himself. Special thanks to founder Chris Lodge for providing a show that celebrates the core of hot rodding and it's influences. DOOOOO IT! You know what to wear, ahem. Car pool? Err...sorry for the lack of details. 9th and main downtown Vancouver. It's right over the I-5 bridge when you cross over from Portland.
Bump for the PNW folks. My O/T daily is in need of some new tires before I make another run for the boarder. As long as I can get that done, I should be able to make it.
Here's a couple I took... This was Best In Show random truck Deviants *Pics of the line of Deviants were supposed to appear here*
wow, really? I really appreciate that! This was my first time taking her out and I was SUPER surprised at how many people really seemed to be liking it. I had just painted it on 4th of july weekend and got it striped the day before the show, was scrambling to get her at least somewhat ready for the Shindig. I saw a lot of people taking pics of her so I'm hoping to find some good shots somewhere as all I shoot with is my cell phone. Thanks again for the kind words.
I didn't take any photos yesterday, not of cars at least. But next time I see it around, the camera will be getting dusted off. Glad the hard worked paid off for ya, and people dig it. It's nice to see something new around.
