Ok so I'm waiting on a copy of Car Craft magazine from March 1963 to arrive in the mail...but I'm not sure I can wait any longer! I seem to remember there being a channelled, but un-chopped Deuce 3 window in that issue with an Olds motor in it?? All my Hot Rod magazines are in London and I'm in California...it's killing me! haha. Don't know if anyone has a copy they can check out and let me know? or maybe even scan a few pages and post them of that car? Thanks! Dean
this car is alive and well in cincinnati, ohio. now powered by a blown hemi and painted black. current owner has most of the original parts tucked away. he drives it on rare occasions. wish i had some pics to show you. he even has it original show sign board.
Thanks for that info. I always wonder how many magazine feature cars are still around. If someone had the time and ability to make a list it would be interesting to see then and now photos.
plug in wade hughes or cincinnati nsra appreciation day and there are 2 pics of this 3 window. black blown hemi with custom grille insert
This is the stance I love on a 32 three window. Channeled, no chop. This is how the little deuce coupe started out when I was a kid. Then Clarence chopped it and went on to fame and fortune. I always liked it unchopped and it was white primer with red pinstriping. One of the first cars I ever striped. I never could fit in it after the chop. Memories.
