I just got back from the hospital. Sharon left us at about 7:10 with her mother and myself at her side. As much as I've been preparing for this it's still very hard. She was the person that made me a better person, and I guess the Lord has other plans for her. I have an empty feeling I can't describe. Two weeks ago today we went to dinner and a movie, and then to Home Depot to pick out new carpet for the living room, den, and bedrooms. By monday I had to carry her to the car, and today she's gone. One thing that makes it easier is that we never put anything off till later. We had a very good marriage, and we had time at the end to say those things many wish they had the time to say at the end. It was 32 years that most people dream of.

 

Thank you to everyone here. I know that the people I've met here are like one big happy family that I can lean on. Don't be surprised if I knock on your door sometime in the future...

 

I'm so sorry for your loss, Leon. Just reading what you and others have written about her, I can tell she was certainly one of the special ones.
