Also...thanks for the screen shot of the SpeedOMeter app. I saw that yesterday morning, downloaded on my iP4, and have been using it in both, my '40 and my '37.

 

I did not strike it rich, and I had fun!

What a great thread ... I'm lovin' it !!!

I'm hoping to do a long roadtrip (to Bonneville) with my old man once my '49's done (it just isn't happening soon enough for me ) . I'm not high tech enough for the i-phone deal though , haha .

 

We just rolled through Winnemucca, Josephine is doing Great! We are cruising 75-80 @ 2500-2600rmp. The oil leak appears to be resolved with the fix last night. Temp is 170 & oil pressure @ 60, 15-16 mpg.

We've been running for nearly 8 hours straight. This is one tough girl!

I'm pleased.

Mike and Bob's excellent adventure is really a great read. So nice meeting both of you on Saturday. If any of you readers haven't figured it out yet, Barn T Find and St Nick are more like two best buds on a road trip than a kid driving his dad around. Love that your dad brags about you and that you love your dad. Thanks guys for including me in your adventure and for the motorcycle and travel stories. You know I'm surprised how good the AT&T network is out here! And we don't have much else to do. Kinda quite out here!

Ok, I just recalculated, we are on fumes hoping to make if to Wells (8 miles). We have one emergency gallon in the trunk. Dad's messing with me, making the car stutter! Something's never change!

We are thinking we can make it to SLC around 10:30.
