Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by wojojo, Jun 19, 2011.

  1. Nothing exceptional or beautiful but someone had to start the thread today.
Here's some "stuff I'm working on".
Just picked up the '40 panel from ebay last week.

  7. Neal, It's cool to see you bringing your toony illustrations style into the 3-d models.
The deuce coupe is cool, those big spokes and that exotic mill speak of a guy with a
healthy stash of old parts. I have a few of those too. Cool stuff brotha!

  8. Can't wait to see this thing come along. Keep us posted.

  11. Barn finds. Sweet!

  12. Ha! - a few F.A.S freaks freakin' here!:p

Check out this cutie E-bay score! It was in a batch of a dozen built by someone in the seventies. I threw about an hour into paint detailing it, including the off- white stripe.

  13. And now, the fun begins... Reminds me of my big Corvettes and my parted out Jag.

Back in '78, I used contact paper (wood) felt (velure seats, eh?) and model glue on the interior. If and when I rebuilt this, I'll use sheet styrene and add more realism to the build. Flocking for carpet.

I have a couple of these 1/8th scale '65 Vettes.. I sure wish Monogram would have added alot more detail to this model.. :(
