Another Billet Proof has come and gone and this year was a good show and laid back. Many cars were coming in all day at various times and the swap meet people seem to be busy all day. Many vendors were there when we arrived at 9AM and people already walking the rows of cars. I didnt count the cars but there were many and a wide viarity with many traditional rods . The cackle cars were on hand and did a couple of sessions and drew crowds and the nitro fumes were strong. They had the usual burn out contest but we were on the opposite side of the grounds and didnt get any shots of it.The food was good and there were groupes of people all over the place. Some of our friends out of Austin didnt make it for some reason so I figured that something else was going on.Over all we had a really good time and there was a good breeze all day so the weather Gods were on our side with only 90 temp to deal with. Who all is going to the Mercury Charlies san Marcos Trip June 18th? We are. Scott, Mercury Charlie is putting together a cruise to San Marcos to Dicks Garage. They are gonna provide free BBQ for those who participate. Charlie needs to give them a head count so there will be enough BBQ. So you need to get ahold of him to rsvp if you are gonna go.
Thanks for posting the pics. Another good day at Giddings yesterday for sure. That park is a perfect location for a car show. I was a little surprised that there weren't more cars from Austin there. Maybe next year I won't be parking an off topic car in the parking lot.
Amy and I have it in the plans to go and Carl will be making it also. Our plans are to meet at Mercury Charlies and meet up with every one. It would be faster to go straight to San Marcos but not near as much fun so that part is set in stone.
I plan on going...Raul will too. I will spread the word and see who else can go. I have found Facebook to be the best place to spread the info. Carl...i had a bunch of stuff to get done that morning...should have just cancelled it! Anyways...ill see you guys the. 18th

Tom we finally got the other 175 pictures posted on the gallery. I was also wondering where all our buddies were from Austin. They normally come out but then Austin has something going on all the time any way so go figure!
Went up with a couple of friends as spectators and had a good time. I have been to all three and it was better as a one day show. Hope there is better particapation in the future, hate to see this one go away.
I have to agree with you 100% and I saw no one who wasn't having a good time. I also have been to all 3 and have all the pictures still posted of the events to date. I would like to see it grow and get a little bigger and I believe it will on the next one but thats my opinion. One good point is the cruise out there and all the cars we meet up with on 290.
Crowd was down a little but then this is a very big area and cars and people were scattered out all over the place. It will take a little while for this event to grow but is't a lot of fun to go to and I hope the locals and close by citys will support it.
