Ok Today I reluctantly joined my wife for her family reunion, it's at a nice pond in the county. The kids swim, the adults fish and cookout. I thought what a waste of a day off I could be in the shop. Well long story short my father in law starts talking about a flathead v8 so I asked whaere it was he told me to go check it out. Wow ... This was the best reunion ever I bought a pair of 38 ford spindles with the wide 5 hubs and wheels for $20.00 then I bought a 39 deluxe ford coupe for $50.00 It's driver's side is toast, but the passenger side is pretty straight and the dash is pretty complete and it still has the banjo wheel , don't know what the frame is like yet. But still saw some real cool stuff 2 - 56 cheys 4-doors , a 46 gmc p/u, some 40's dodge p/u's, a 48 ford and chevy truck , and so on. [/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]
Sounds like a great day afterall . Looks like that 39 spent alot of years laying on the drivers side for it to be so toasted and the passengerside being so nice. By the way if you hit ENTER a couple times between loading pics they will go up and down instead of spreading out to the side . Rick
Yeah It's spent a long time on the divers side but for $50 I suppose I can't expect metal flake paint! I just ask him If I could buy the dash and steering wheel, he asked if I had a trailer I said yeah. He then told me for $50.00 he would load the whole car up for me!
Oh dont get me wrong for 50 bones you will get your money back 10 fold out of that car and still keep some cool parts. Rick
Yeah that's kinda what I was thinkin. The metal flake line was from a movie anyway. " for 250 what do you expect , metal flake ? " Havn't seen that movie in over a decade but that line sicks with me!
