Ive been wanting to have nice interior in my coupe for a long time now so I decided I'd try to talk my wife into trying her hand at it. She's pretty handy and has had no problem helping me work on my cars in the past so she gave it a try. With the help of some tech articles here and searching the HAMB for pics of some other cars interiors, this is what she came up with and I couldnt be happier with the results.
The car is so much nicer to drive now I really am suprised how much of a difference it made by insulating and finishing the interior and trunk.

Well done, and it will give her a special pride in the car to boot.

can I borrow your wife ...jk..

That looks awesome in white. I wanted all white, rather than the old way of using black or red piping, but I did not know how it would look. Now I do. :)

That's incredible!!! I've been trying to get my wife to tackle my '35's interior but we haven't gotten the materials yet so nothing has been done. You are one lucky man!!!

It looks great. You are one lucky guy. My wife won't even talk cars with me let alone work on one. Scott

Turned out great. I have been seeing a lot of home done interior threads lately and they are all turning out awesome. Did you already have a sewing machine?

My lovely Jen is doing her own interior in her '50 Ford. Hope it turns out just as nice!

  18. Wow, that is beautiful. That was her first interior? Congratulations to her for a job well done. If ya'll lived near here I'd want to know if her upholstery skills were for hire.

My wife used to do the interior work in my street and drag cars but she kept breaking her machine because it wasn't designed for such heavy work. Well ,she will no longer have that excuse. I bought a heavy duty comercial machine for her. Of course that puts the ball back in my court to get somerthing done so she can try it out.

Thanks I will pass it along to her. The machine she used we borrowed from youngrodders folks and is a small portable walking foot machine but I have been looking to buy a bigger industrial machine for her as I've got 2 other cars that need new interiors still ;)

Very nice job...why do I keep getting this picture in my mind of your wife smacking you upside the head for getting into this pristine white interior with your grubby jeans?
