  3. If kids now days will gladly take a Honda with 4 doors, why pass up a good old Chevy because of extra doors?

Any power plant or drive line that goes into a smoking hot two door will also bolt into a four door. Go for it and let the whole family enjoy the ride.

do it man! I have a 4dr 55 and plan on getting it going for a hunnert trip this fall. I bought my 63 bel air, first 4dr. I quickly realized how much easier it was on cruise nights. No 6'3 brother kneeing you in back as he climbs out.
I plan on making mine a mild custom eventually.

That is a great sleeper :D

I waited 20 years before I could buy my 57 2 door sedan, messed about with other old cars while I waited.
Wished I woulda bought a 4 door 57, instead of messing with the others.
Buy it & enjoy it !

Just missed a 60's built '56 belair sedan in NC a couple months ago...Grey and white, had a '63 Impala 327-300 and T10 swapped in. Barn find condition but no title. Would have been perfect just clenaed up and put back on the road.

It was on ebay - Did anybody here pick it up?

Ah yes Steve....But then you would have had to wear Panties for 20 years....

Dont be like Steve, put a Big Block in it with a manual and go and scare the locals......

I will buy you a milkshake on Saturday night as a peace offering!

Never thought I would ever see the words sleeper, tunnel ram, and "gasser" wheels in the same sentence...

They're only cool sleepers if you leave them really stock looking and quiet. If you go changing to big tires and mags or custom wheels, then a big old rumbly engine; it's lost all the sleeper look.

I got a 4 door 56 wagon for 100 bucks a few weeks ago from a old man down the road he was going to scrap it and and a bunch of others. I keep trying to think of something cool to do with it.
