The Mystery Merc is stuck in California still so I'll be bringing out this thing with its new interior.

 

Ryan Cochran told me yesterday, after I corrected him about a misuse of a word in his "editorial": "At the end of day we all have different priorities... Different strokes for different folks." Same here, I like kustoms, but I'm not addicited to them alone. I like all types of cars, from "gold chainers" to RR's, pick-ups to Corvettes...I can get my "fix" by attending local runs/events, and, fortunately, we have plenty of them around here...a whole summer full, all usually within 100 miles.

I was looking forward to this summer to show off the Cadillac, and I still will, altho to a "smaller" group of people and a smaller area...I can still play cars.

If gas goes to $5.00 a gallon, that makes it hard on those of us that are "retired"...and if gas goes to $10.00 a gallon, then it's time to sell my hot rods or leave them parked in a garage...

I'm not a defeatist by any means, but I'm done contributing to oil company greed...

OH boy!!!! almost time to head North!

It's a grueling 45 minute drive but we usually manage to make it last 4 hours or so...

I got my tag for the 56 I got in ks sunday. game on. flush the radiator, plugs and I'm ready. 4:11 gears won't be flying down the highway

Ok about off of work! Sleep 3 hours, pack set floats on carb and we are off! Hope to be there by 7:30 a.m! Don't fail me now old Plymouth!

 

Finally made it! No car tho, both are down now so I had to drive the truck....but I did pull a buddies hot rod over here tho!
Looks like the weather will be awesome tomorrow!

 

leaving now to go get my ride at hot rod garage...my buddies '29 roadster...see you guys up there in an hour and a half.
