Next time your in Rock Hill Stop by our shop. 1215 East Main Street. Right between the new location for Mr Bs Speed Shop and Car Quest Auto Parts. Stop in and say hi.
Raise the body a little 2 to 3 inches and lower the lid a little (2-3"). Oh, and this reminds me of a girl I knew in college.
i think I need your drivers side door........now. the truck looks great,....and I am running a Chevy engine in my 29 Dodge Coupe because,....I like Chevy's.
personally, I'd un-channel it back up to where the bottom of the cab is even with the bottom of the bed. . . the hemi is cool, but I understand where you're coming from with the runner. . . cool project, keep us updated
Too much channel. Get a radiator in there before you do anything else, that will determine how much you can channel it.
What the FUCK! This image looks like a pile of parts sitting on the ground. It absolutely goes against everything that is cool and purposeful about a hot rod. Hot Rods have stance and that seems to be forgotten or abused. I would un-channel it 6" and chop it about 2-3 inches. I also think that the stance need to be set at something that resembles a hot rod and not a slammed Isuzu. Pinwall tires and Chrome steelies are always cool and the Hemi set back might be boss also. Altogether there is some real promise to the truck but too much of anything is never a good thing. Take a look at SCOOTERMCRAD's project for some inspiration.
What grille are you using? A 32,33,34 Ford truck if you want I have a pretty nice Mopar grille from the late 20's that would be cool on this Being the Mopar guys are so anti anything, it would be a nice touch to give this a Mopar Identity when you see it coming down the street being that is what it is. But, I am a Ford Guy and I can uunderstand why you would be using a grille shell from a 32 33 34 Ford truck on this.
that thing looks crappy sitting on the ground like that. I wish this ol' skool rods crap truck style will hurry up and fade away.
The truck isn't channeled. It is a z-d frame, with rear bags. And the picture is photo shopped with a 6 inch chop. And the body and bed are mounted , not just mocked up for your enjoyment.
Looks good to me as it is. Looks like with that channel job you'll need to be pretty short to fit in to it with a 6" chop.
I would say do what you like..... But with that said, I think the cab should come up 2-3 inches and IF you chop it, I would say only 2-3 inches. The truck looks good, but too low of a lid and it would start looking too cartoonish!
thank you all for being honest that is what i ask for .saxonhous that looks real good .i will take everybodies like and dislike and think of some changes .
well i am driving the truck .i know it is not a real hot rod but it is what i wanted to build .some people will not like it and thats ok.but i wanted to give an update for those that do like it thanks again to all the oddballz for their help .i am proud to be an ODDBALL.
Personally I think it is cool as hell , and so did Brandon . He really wanted to ride in it, but never got the chance , proud to say I got the first ride... in his memory .
