All of these pics are great/they would be perfect if we could all remember to put a date and place with them

Hard to believe that David Piper "only" lost a leg in that.

Wow!! LN& NUT and Heywood, Great color photos. Is it just me? I don't remember anything that old in color anymore. Not just the photos, but the memory as well. Does that happen when you stare at too many black and white pictures? The dirt tracks in Texas must be special dirt. The ones in New York got ruts and holes after the first heat race.

Like adventure? Put two adults, yourself, a little sister and baby brother in a Crosley and drive accross New York on old U.S. 20 out to Cleveland, OH and back. Another family tradition was to stop at state lines and photograph everyone with the car. That way, you didn't need dates or locations on the photos. It might take ten minutes to climb a hill in the Crosley but, this was before interstates.

LN7NUT, there's a lot of windows on the Suburban. How about a PM with the story of what you're going to do with it.

LN7NUT, I do hope that you, your Dad, the big Ford and what looks to be a GMC tour bus are all OK now. This does need to be vintage and do PM me with your progress.

A few more sixty-year-old shots. When my father pulled over and my mother said "PICTURES", we had to climb out and line up unless we were sleeping. Sometimes we just pretended to be asleep. My mother never told me if she did that just to keep us quiet in the back seat on long trips.

A few errors on your part. You posted the same statement twice. Which gave you post count of 3. Guvmint accounting? Next, your intro. Literally nothing.
And, a 1990 Miata? A MIATA!! What is the world coming to? A Miata!! Jeesh!!
Now save up and get a H.A.M.B. friendly car and join in. Stick around, read, and you'll probably pick it up.
Before I forget...welcome to you as a NFG.
And, regarding your statement(s) in this thread......
It is not always known when, where and how the photos are taken.
So, we all just enjoy viewing them.
