Folks Of Interest So long to my #1 car buddy, my Dad "Dr. Dave"

Not known by many on the HAMB, but my Dad (Dr. Dave around here) lost his fight with cancer yesterday.

While I'm the reason he opened up to hot rods & customs, he's the reason I'm into (old) cars.

Not much else to say, other than I'll miss him terribly...it's going to be really strange working on his cars without him there anymore. Hopefully the Imperials & Cadillacs will realize that I mean well.

So long Dad, we'll be seing you on down the road. Glad you got to meet your newest grand-daughter...

Todd, sorry to hear of your loss... I'm going through the same thing right now myself. I gave my dad a kiss on his fore head last night as he lay in his bed at hospis last evening for what will probably be the last time. This just sucks...

So sorry to here this. We went through this with my mom, dad and step dad in the last 3 years. Even when you know they dont have much time left, your still never ready for it.

I know what your going through I lost my father to kidney failure 2 years ago. Its good that he got to meet his granddaughter.

Very sorry to hear this. Always remember, you will meet again, in the big hot rod heaven in the sky..... Try to celebrate his life, and not dwell on his death so much. He sounds like a wonderful dad.
