    Thanks Kevan!

We gotta go back next year! Graham Berry's work so astounding... I held one of those cars and looked it over, I was pretty nervous! And I can't wait to see Mike's '29 pickup-

  14. Things are slowing down here now as WINTER sets in.
Save your pennies and plan for next year.
The calender is full on from Jan 1st to mid April.

  15. The flight is 11-12hrs non stop. Maybe I should plan a guided tour for next year. I wonder how many people would be interested. Just kidding.

Not a bad idea - work it right and you should be able to end up with a free trip out of it :)

  19. Thank's again for the offer Russ! I have had offers to drive some badass machines but I hate the thought of damaging someone's pride and joy.... I am quite happy to blow stuff up on my own car.

Here are the last of my pics from the Nostalgia drags....

Phoenix funny car. I used to watch this car in the 70's when it came over from the States with the LA Hooker Funny. It now lives in NZ and has been restored.

  21. I did bring something really good home with me for my future 34 pickup project thank's to a couple of clubmates. A Berry & Chung 3 carb intake for a Y block and a Berry & Chung shifter. My plan is to build a lo buck daily driver out of the roller I have and put some vintage New Zealand B/C speed equipment on it. So far I have a gas pedal, dagger dip stick , the intake and shifter. I will be hunting down a few more goodies.

This has been a great thread Kev. I'd been wanting to meet Chris Piaggi and check out his collection for ages, and finally got to do this recently as part of a book I'm working on about Kiwi hot rodders and their garages and automobilia collections. Chris is a cool guy, very modest and down to earth, and his collection just blew my mind the moment I stepped inside!

Those are brilliant pics and some awesome cars!

Its great to see such quality rods out here (I'm on a year working/holiday visa based SE of Auckland).

I have been here a month and have struggled to find much info on the NZ rodding scene. Events, websites etc.

While Im over here I am on the look out on a cheap rod (if poss!), is trademe.co.nz the main place for buying?

    Thanks

PS Sorry, I dont mean to hijack your thread!
