Who's going??? I'm making a special trip up there to see what it's all about. April 29, 30, 2011. Seymour, TN. Not too far South of Pidgeon Forge on route 411. (411 Dragstrip) Check out ratrodrumbletn.com

Yeah, what he said. There are some pretty ratty looking cars that show up, but there has also been a lot of long time HAMBers who have attended and supported this DRAG RACE.

Every year, somebody has to get riled-up about the name, though.

This show has been going on since before the RR phobia, and it's still cool. There are ratty cars at EVERY show, this ones no different. Theres alot of nice stuff too, and drag racing..... Can't beat that.

If the name keeps you away you probably weren't coming anyway.

Not far, as the crow flies. On your bike, figure on around 3 hours. I used to live about 30 miles from Cherokee.

I went a couple of years ago and it was a blast. Good swap meet finds and drag racing. Its like the Redneck Rumble. Alot of people here wants to bash it but the truth be known they were there beatin their vienna to some badass hotrods. The best part about this show in Seymore is we stayed in Gatlinburg and got up at the asscrack of dawn and fire up the ol 31 Plymouth and lights were coming on at every cabin on the street we were on. Bunch of Tommy wearin homos were prolly pissed.

 

I attended this event, in 2005, in the rain, and still had a great time. I brought a trailer queen and got no shit for it.

 

hadn't been in a few years since my buddy got married on the track--good times though--savin my travel funds for Shelby this year though. for those who are going--drive it like you stole it.

 

Will be riding up in my old 57 Fairlane. Was hoping to have my Morris Minor doneto run at the drags,but got sidetracked building a buddy's 39 Ford.
Oh well,next year I can tow the Morris with my 57.

I took LeAnn Rhimes from Walland, Tn, TO Cherokee for a show.........Someone told her it takes about hour & half!, That MUST have been "Tha way the CROW GOES!!! She was pissed!, and stayed at Cherokee!!, would'nt come back to the Resort where was a'stayin' (Ha).......

Nobody has mentioned it, but Dan usually has some good bands on saturday night. We camped out on our last trip and had a blast.

Apparently this show is good for healing up a new boob job too..... According to the wife.

Some of us poor boys will be there; We LOVE this run. I don't know if I will go this year, but it is a blast!

 

Just so nobody gets lost, Seymour is about 21 miles Northwest of Pigeon Forge and 10 miles southeast of Knoxville. The 411 Dragstrip is about 2 miles west of the intersection of US 441 and US 411.
