I would like to introduce myself. My name is Colin, and I'm 26 years old. I've been around the scene for awhile, and I look on the HAMB often to see whats going on, but now I finally created an account. I'm in Lewisville, Tx and run with Hale's Speed Shop. I have a gold '49 Chevy 3100 on air ride with an LS1.

Were you at LSRU this year? I was at the same motel that Hale's group was staying at. Had to trailer my falcon down there and then drive it around(bent rim issues). You do that motor swap yourself?

Yeah, we all went down to roundup. We stayed at the same fabulous motel we always do. We did the swap at Hale's Speed Shop here in Lewisville. Almost everything that comes through the shop these days gets an LS motor in it. They might not be HAMB friendly, but you cant beat them in a daily driven hot rod. They make more then enough horsepower to pucker your butthole a bit and still get around 25 mpg if you keep your foot out of it.

    Welcome from Florida.

I am in Dallas about 5 times a year.

I really like the Fairview area which is about 30 minutes north east of Dallas and if I could sell my home in Florida I would move out that way.

  16. Welcome from Allen!! I've seen lots of Hale's Speed Shop online but hope to see it in person someday. I've got a '53 3100 too. With 235 six cyl. But I hope to lay it out in the future! But first I'm just going to do a dropped axle for now.
