I didn't find out about the HAMB until after I moved from Tulsa Ok. to Kentucky. I might have hung around just to party with these guys!

  19. Paul, could you please send me recipes for ALL the food you took pictures of please! Before I die I hope to be at one of your "elaborate meals". Looks like all had a good time. When you get Larry,Lawrence, Tom and Bigwop together there can never be a dull moment! I only hope that you and I can have 1/2 this much fun when we go up to BigWops next month.

I just made the 730 mile trip home. Damn winds made the drive a bit tricky. Seventy degrees when I left PF's Gypsum, KS home at 4:30AM!!!

When I crossed into WI, the temp. was 47. There is still snow along the tree lines just North of Janesville.

A great trip. I sure do appreciate the hospitality shown by PF, Mrs. PF, EnginePro5X, the good folks of Gypsum, KS and Cuzzindeke.

It is just a treat to hang out with PF's posse. They are all great story-tellers and there is never a dull moment.

too bad the fun has to end.

but we will be getting together in less than a month and this time Gasser Louie will be involved!

The American Legion of Maynard, Mass. had one in town parades years ago -- it was used at least until 1962.... then it went into hibernation for many years ... here's a recent shot of it: Leapin Lena !!

The idea was stolen from a circus that came to town one day... the story is that a few guys crawled under the ten one night and took measurements of the clown car, then built Lena...

When it did its crazy stuff in the street there was a huge blast from the shotgun hidden under the seat !!

There must be several of these around the country, if they have survived.
