neighbor's truck was stolen a couple days ago... the police recovered it a few hours later, while the thief was driving it. the bed of the truck was filled with scrap and a few backpacks that weren't his.
the truck was pretty well smashed up: looks like the tweaker smashed into a couple trees.

there were drugs in the truck when the guy was arrested, though the police didn't mention meth specifically i'd doubt it be anything else.

the tweaker thief will get a few months of hot meals, then be back to his old ways in no time. my neighbor's truck has been returned, but it's basically totalled.

  2. THIS BUD'S FOR YOU!
Couple years back a son of the local DA and his buddy popped open a freight car parked north of town on a siding. They stuffed their horse trailer, so the story goes, with empty aluminum beer kegs and hauled them thirty miles to a scrap yard in Okie City! Guess the scrap yard guys wondered about the shiny Bud kegs and the deal went to hell. The kid was good middle class upbringing, churchy family and all that. Did they really think ya can drag anything into the scrap yard and someone will buy it? No questions asked?
There was a small spread in the local paper with mug shot and all that but don't think the kid did any time and the whole affair seemed to be quickly hushed up....
    Yeah, ya can't cure stupid!

Couple local guys last month went around hitting the supermarkets. They have big, heavy carts with conveyors on them for unloading trucks, aluminum or are they stainless? Anyway, they hauled them straight to the scrapyard...the stores got them back that afternoon. The next day, the same guys stole them again! Got caught that time. The big trouble right now is that they steal all the wiring off of irrigation systems. Hundreds of feet, costs thousands to replace, usually in desolate locations.

My Dad has been earning some spending money by cleaning out some buildings that a friend owns. A lot of work but he's taken in some pretty good money. He's hooked now, and would like to find some other places to clean out, but good free scrap just isn't around anymore. I know some other guys, mostly older, who supplemented their social security by hauling junk but they've been run out of business by the lowlifes.

A local scrap-thieving-piece-of-shit and his tweeker friend broke into the local beer distributor and stole all the empty kegs (like RuffDawg's idiots) and tried to scrap them. They were turned-away at the scale.

His tweeker had a connection at the local supermarket, and he decided it was a good plan to use the cardboard-box compactor out back to crush the kegs into a handy cube. The scrapyard takes cubes, right?

Once the kegs were crushed (doing horrid damage to the machine, which shut down), the morons found they couldn't lift the keg-cube. They called another tweeker and said to bring more tweeker buddies. Just as the tweeker crew were loading the cube into the truck, the cops showed up... with a van and riot gear! :)

The supermarket manager noticed something was amiss when all the lights in the stockroom went out and the freezer warning beepers sounded... the main breaker was tripped by the compactor in it's death-throes and cut the lights/freezers. He turned the breaker back on and looked through the peephole at the tweekers and called the law. He told them the tweekers were "acting hostile and hopped-up" and to bring the van.

    It was a tweeker beat-down.

We've lost two crack-head scrappers in our area over the past year, one in East Hartford and one in Berlin. They like to use a cordless Sawzall's to hack off catalytic converters in the dead of night but didn't invest in a good jack. Find um in the morning with just the toes sticking out from under the rocker panel.

Tweekers hit a power sub station north west of Las vegas, they were stealing main power feeds 40 thousand volt stuff. they killed power to Pharump, nv (30,000 residents) for two days never caught them just a bloddy glove with the hand still in it thats all. Thats how you fix stupid.
This meth is going to ruin America. All srappers arent bad I scrap a little hear and there. the scrap yards are like misfit island with some crazy people. In NV you have to produce DL and finger print and long list of stuff they wont take.
