Most of us on here seem to have some type of ride they work, play or cruise around with or dream about and it's the car / truck of your dreams! If not what is the ride of your dreams? Even if your one of the ones who lurks in the back ground of this forum, surely you have dreamed about your fantacy ride. So if you could build or buy the car of your dreams, what would it be? Me wants and desires a straight axel "GASSER" from the 60's! Yours is a.....

Stretched-cab (I'm 6'6") Model A Roadster highboy pickup on a '32 frame... tri-power chromed-out Y-Block, toploader 3-speed, banjo rear for the drivetrain. Hood but no side panels. Painted basic glossy black with chrome reverse and blackwalls. Big headlights and 40's Chevy tail lights. Black basic interior with pleat-and-roll seat and door panels. Someday...
Lamorghini Muira S (Not SV), Ferrari 250 TR, Jag D, Ferrari P4 (had a P4 replica, would be satisfied to have it BACK), Jag C, My old Jag XK120 back, ....... You SAID fantasy! Oh, a HAMB car? Hmmm, Devin SS, Duesenberg SJ Boat-tail roadster, my old '64 Goat back, my 57 Pontiac convert back, my 58 Olds convert back, even my old 57 Chevy 2 door back, my 59 348/4 speed El Camino back, there are more. Now concentrating on my Marcos 1600 GT, not sure if it's considered HAMB appropriate or not. It's one of only about 200 made, the Englishe car that reall DOES have a wooden frame. What it will look like on completion, except for the wheels. As a "Barn Find". The same drive-train I will be using.
I have too many I want, but you asked for it..... 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria two door hardtop peacock blue and white with a 292 auto 1930/31 Model a body on deuce frame. fenderless. early 50's merc flatty with 39 tranny 1940 Ford Deluxe (moonshine car) 1941 Ford Covertiable 1955 Cadillac series 62 sedan 1955 Ford Thunderbird 1941 Cadillac Convertiable. I think that'll do it.
Ever since I was in high school in the '50's, when I had a pretty nice '36 Ford deluxe touring sedan, I had wanted a '36 3-window with a "full-race" Merc, a '39 top loader, hydraulic brakes, and 4.11's. About 15 years ago I found one and built it. I sold it after about five years, for a couple of reasons. First, it was very cramped inside and uncomfortable to drive any more than 15 or 20 miles. Second, the guy who built the engine did a very good job, because it ran great and had a lot of power; so much that it kept breaking driveline parts. The second or third time you have to change an axle in a banjo, you can get real sick and tired of it. In the end, I was using mild steel axle keys about 2" long to provide a point of failure that wouldn't put the car out of commission for a week. I probably would have done something about the drivetrain if the car hadn't been so uncomfortable. Strangely, I have never missed that car.
Me? I just want one of those cars that has become way too popular in the last 20 years. My all time favorite: 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible Mayfair Maize, black interior, tripower, 4 speed, rally gauges, rally I wheels with white stripe bias ply tires, black top, black pinstripe...

This is my dream car., built by Rudy, for B. Gibbons. Or the car this thread is about in it's current state. I've read it about nine times now, and it may be my new favorite 33-34 Ford, maybe even my favorite hot rod period. Built by Muffin. From the super trick 21 stud, the custom one off cast aluminium parts like lever shocks and heat riser for the carbs, the hard core dry lakes chop, 17' Model 40 Wheels, to the zephyr OD, this car does it for me. http://jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=473212
