Had one, '63 short box, 389 Pont. Fun truck at the green light. Back when gas was cheap and street draging was-well kinda legal.

    The more you know,
    the more I gota read.

I'm not sure about a '52 but the one on my '56 is mounted down low on the frame rail. It looks like it would be easy replace the single MC with a dual.

Speedway has a duel just for mounting under the floor with a booster option. I'm putting one in my 48 KB1.

well i managed to bring the 51 home today. it turned over by hand so i hooked a battery up to it but had to jump the soleniod and it did crank over alittle. my buddy did offer up a chevy 250/6 and a 350 turbo for cheap so will have to decide what im going to do with it yet

This is my 1935. I used what I had to build it. So that dictates
a Ford drivetrain and front and rear suspension.

Got the rear end lowered about 4 inches, may still lower it another inch or two before I'm done.

Sad thing is gas is getting so high that I had to get rid of half the engine.

kind of hard to tell by the pics but i pulled 3 leaves out of both sides on the front and it dropped it 2.5", will most like drop it more once i update it with a 250/auto trans to make it more of a daily driver. if anyone needs a spare for parts im selling the 220/3spd out of it, its posted in the classified section. i did manage to fire it up for a few seconds as i dont have a carb for it

My neighbor has a couple old International pickups that are pretty cool so I started looking around for one. Looked at a few that had some issues making them not worth purchasing. I found this 1953 R112 in a lien sale. Solid truck that hasn't been registered in 20 years. I've cleaned it up and gotten it running. I replaced all brake components, fluids, rebuilt the carburetor, and replaced 90% of the wiring (even put in a few fuses). It has the 220 c.i. Silver Diamond engine with T98 4 speed. Fun truck to drive. I think I'll leave it completely stock for now and just enjoy the old time feel of it. These trucks are definitely not freeway cruisers!

    Thanks,
I've been enjoying driving the old truck on the weekends here lately.

  16. Since I bought this truck I had all intentions on buying a pull behind camper or slide-in. Well, I found a nice slide-in yesterday. With the deal done I loaded it up and scooted down the road.

It's a 1966 Open Road from Redondo Beach, California. It is really cool with some neat accessories. It has a propane gas light inside, an intercom between the cab and camper, a stove that's never been used, shower/toilet/sink. I also have the original keys and literature and miscellaneous items dating back to '66.

It needs a few structural things addressed and the roof needs sealed. Other than that I am pretty excited. This will be a long term project that I will continue to update as I progress.

Just to let you guys know, the newly installed Cadillac 500 engine moves this 2000lb bohemoth down the road effortlessly.

Its a work in progress but it'll be bagged all around. Im currently building a bike for a guy to trade for paint:)
Top chopped 7 inches, 3 inch section out of the rest. Bed shortened from 8 foot to 5 foot 10. Got a 350/350 combo thats gonna power it.

I wish it still had a IH powerplant but, the sbc does make $$ sense I guess

  26. Here is my 1968 Travelette Campermobile. I bought it last year and just put it on the road today. It has 47,000 original miles on it, 345 V8, HD 4 speed and a 4:56 Power Lock rear end. I got a T34 5 speed OD out of another 68 last year that will eventually go in this one.

    I got a '63 Scout 80 with a 196 topped with a Weber 2bbl, and I got a '73 Travelall 1110 with a 392 backed by the 727 riding on 35s (gas hog)

Here is my landlords old shop truck, he won't part with it. The truck is parked in my back yard, mocking me. Yeah, its a 4x4. Poor thing.
