Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by AutoArt66, Mar 24, 2011.

  1. Finished "the grind" on my latest wreck today only to find my last decent HAMB shirt took one for the team. Got online tonite to order the latest Jalopy apparel just to find the sold out sign hung on everything. Now what the hell is a guy to do?

  2. find a parts shirt and splice the repairs in.

Damn, now I have to explain to my wife what the hell was so damned funny.
Solution, Buy new HAMB shirts and then go to Wally world and buy a few of the 5.something kinda rod shirts they have to work on the car and weld in. My "real" hot rod shirts don't see the garage until they already have a few miles on them.

How about a picture? Not that I don't trust you but we need to see and
assess the damage in order to prescribe the best remedy. Kapeesh?

    Everything nice becomes crappy eventually:cool:.

  11. OK so 03/04 material is 100% interchangeable everything else requires serious modification to work. Im hoping for "Sunday Brunch" acceptable here so I am holding out for the right year's.

I burnt a nice hole in my GG Allin shirt while doing some grinding... Just wear another shirt under it that's the same size and color....

I do that same trick when I want to have sleeves on some of my t-shirts that I cut the sleeves off of...

Now it becomes a shirt you sleep in.

  15. I'll have to pick the wire wheel hairs from it and wash the three coats of paint and endless filler dust its loaded with now....a new shirt would be so easy but wouldn't have any character I suppose?

Shirts are cheap... how about burning holes in the top of your shoes and socks. I didn't know how to dance until I started welding!

  17. look for a NOS... new old shirt.
    or maybe a yarn find.

  18. X2 on patch panels.. Just remember to use soft enough thread so you can "Hammer sew" the panels on.

  21. If its a Holy shirt just wear it on Sunday, or Saturday depending on which religion you belong to.

The only problem I have ever had a shirt that has holes in it is that I get sunburnt spots in the summer. Completely ruins a good farmer tan.

  22. Getting a hole in it seems like a relatively mild thing to happen to a GG Allin shirt.

The hole shows that you actually work on your rides and didn't just buy the shirt to look cool. Consider it a battle wound and wear that sucker.

Bad enough that he finally gets the last shirt broken in, but then he comes on here and gloats about it. Fucker.

Just don't make a rat shirt out of it. There's already enough rat shit to go around.
