Me too i love the interior on this car, i think im going to do something very similar, but i noticed the material is like a silk or metallic.

  6. Looks like it may be a pearl with metal flake in the vinyl.

It looks similar to the metalflake silver material but it looks more white.

Hi guys, just happened to see the thread about the interior of "Mr. Chevy". I am the owner and I don't really have a name for it but it is a white vinyl with heavy silver metalflake in it. It is still in good shape after all these years, pretty soft and no darkening or cracking. Russ Schleicher is the guy who did this interior in the late sixties is still in the upholstry business. When I was cleaning the car up when I bought it 4 years ago I noticed there was a bleed through from the backside of a magic marker that had been used to lay it out. Magic Markers were somewhat a new invention in the '60's. If the interior had been of any kind of darker material it would not be seen. After I bought the car I teased Russ about warranty on the headliner. Jokingly he said "find some new material and he would take care of it". By the way, the headliner is the same material as the door panels.

  14. Awesome interior and an awesome car with a lot of history. Mr. Chevy, indeed.
