Hi my name is Allan and my partner is Katrina, we live in a small place called Katikati BOP NZ. I have been playing with cars since I was 15 many many years ago. Came across H.A.M.B and found it very interesting to read, so thought we,d join for learning about information and source out parts. We are currently working on a 38 Chev Coupe just pulled out a small block chev and replaced it with a 270 GMC also in middle of painting a 55 Series 1 pick up, have decided on a two tone paint job which we will be doing ourselves. Other projects are a 1932 Morris commercial fire truck, we will restore it back to her original fire engine. Fire Truck is still a driver and we take her on town cruises. Katrina has started rebuilding her 1971 triumph spitfire. We are also restoring a 38 Chev Coupe for a customer in our workshop.:)will try a post pictures soon

Im pretty new here too but its a good place.

  12. I just acquired a 270 GMC engine myself.
    What's your opinion of them.
I had a couple way back in the early seventies
    when they were popular.
Looking at building a nostalgia type rod with it.

Welcome!!!!! Sounds like you have a full plate. I'd Love to see the Morris Fire Truck. I've restored several Firetrucks but have never even seen a Morris. Sounds incredible!
