Ever notice how slim the folks look in old pictures. Junk food was not invented yet!

This September '54 Associated Press photo showcases two giants,
plus baseball royalty. NY Giant Willie Mays, left, is flanked by
Brooklyn's Duke Snider and the Giants' Don Mueller. Photo THANKS
to NaplesNews.com! (BTW, Mays finished at 345, Mueller at 342,
    and Duke at 341.)

The fact that Duke Snider was a genuinely nice guy when
not concentrating on his game made him a natural and
genuine crowd pleaser. Photo THANKS to al.com/sports!

The Duke sends Number 43 out of the park in
'56, THANKS to CDTurner.com! During the early
and mid-'50s, the New York teams basically held
a stranglehold on baseball championships and
records, immortalized in the musical hook:
    "Willie, Mickey and the Duke"!

As a kid, I admired the Duke for his "Bats Left,
Throws Right" ability. I never could master that,
try though I might! Photo THANKS to the
    Merced Sun-Star!

There is one of these bus's off of Highway 5 in CA. It looks like the one on the bottom. I see it every time I go to Disneyland. If your heading southbound it is on the right side. Anyone else see this?

Is that a "bullet" on the hood or a light of some kind. Don't think I've ever seen one of these before.

Never mind. I did a Wikipedia search and came up with a page that has this photo on it .....

It says this model was made from 1952 - 1955 and calls it a 12M (G13).

    More or less...

It was made a lot later then 55, 55 was the last year for the split grill though, mine are both 59's and are absolutely identical and are only 12 numbers apart on the VIN.

Easy to find? All the Europeans I have talked to in the 13 years I have owned mine have told me that none are left and parts are impossible to get... and I need parts! I finally got a new windshield for the one I'm restoring just last December. Can you help me find tail lights or anything at all for mine?

    Here are mine.

Where I first saw it over a decade ago...

Got it running and driving in short order, and took it to a car show on a dare... had a great time and became a fixture at that show! LOL

#1 is extremely rusty, but #2 is really good, no rust at all except for under the bettery tray and one rocker.

And here is a vintage photo so as not to derail the thread...
