I posted this on the Boulevardos Board, I figured I'd share here too. I wrote up my Sacramento trip for my blog. All in all it was a pretty decent show, and I had a really good time. Here's some of my pics, click the link to see them all and read my story: http://bombcitypress.blogspot.com/2011/02/show-coverage-sacramento-autorama-2011.html Thanks, Nic
Nic, Some great shots and a very good blog on the show. I'm really surprised that no one else has said anything about this years show. Maybe because it was a lot smaller than last years. Good job!!
Good read! Thanks for the pics too, and to tell you that you are absolutely right about that drive from sac to SF since I do it about three times a week! I only wish I could do it in my truck.
Saw it on LBCC, re-read it here ha ha. I still think some of those pics look like AMT kit cars put on display. Cool effect.
Thanks, it's called Tilt-shift, it's a cheap trick I use to fake aperture control on my iPhone. I dig it, maybe I was a little heavy handed with it though. Thanks for reading!
This is a very true and well thought out point that you made on your blog. "The show really seemed down this year, but I suppose anything would after GNRS. At the same time, I was inspired by the cars that did show up, and I'm afraid if there isn't more people willing to show their cars up North that we might lose what is one of the last great Northern California indoor car shows. Northern California's indoor show history is long and rich, but it's not stable. We've already lost so many great shows up here, I would hate to see this one go the way of the Rod & Custom Show." I am sure that the fact that some of the "car clubs/people" planned a boycott and also a parking lot show across the street.. That is the kind of backwards thinking that will get it cancelled and no one to blame but themselves.. Right Bruce?
