Ha! Didn't know I was a screen star!

Or at least my avatar is! Just saw that Desert Car Kings show on Direct TV a bit ago, and saw the Galaxie episode... I didn't know that they were ever going to use the footage of all of us standing around on a hundred and ten degree day when we were told to show up, (...Oh, and wear a black shirt! HUH?!) but there it was! FULL FRONTAL PLYMOUTH PORN! Bet if you look real close, you'll see my ugly blonde Swede mug in the frame too. Five seconds at least! The phone has rung for the ten minutes - must be the rain. Woo Hoo! Also, Hot Rod Ron and the 227 bullet hole coupe got 3.5 minutes of his fifteen minutes of fame on this one too! He played a little role entitled "customer looking for rear end"... figures. put a great sentence in there, but deleted it, 'cause this is a family kinda' gig!
Still, like most of us, I think this is a pretty damn lame show - but we're not who they're trying to catch...

That show is so far beyond lame that it makes lame look cool as hell.

Regardless of who it is targeted to... what a bunch of douchebags.

After watching the show about the Barracuda, I was wondering about the show. Why would they set a $2,000(true or not) piece of glass right next to where they were working on the car. Looked too much like a set up. Of course it was going to be broken....

 

Agreed, the show sucks! That's why I missed the show when it aired a couple of weeks ago. I much prefer Storage Wars on A&E for my Wednesday fun... but it is kinda cool to see your self and friends on the screen...

 

I tried to watch the show one night, and couldn't get through more than 15 minutes before turning the channel! That's the worst "reality" staged show I've ever seen. I was sure hoping to see a good car show!

 

Saw it today for the 1st time. It's GAY as Christmas.

You should put the clip on YouTube. I don't have TV service, and from the responses of the others, it doesn't really sound like I need to get it.

they piss me off. i can do a much better job than their "professionals" and im amatuer at best. they probably paint right over dirt clumps too. my two cents

Congrats on getting your car on tv. The show is pretty lame. I record it and just fast forward to the end to see how the car turned out.

 

If they keep working on the margin of p;rofit I have seen they won't be restoring cars much longer.

 

show is horrible but not really anything better on TV so I watch it..the sons voice bugs me there's just something about it... and I don't get why they don't put the cars on Ebay or Craigslist instead of taking em to there auction not setting a reserve and either losing money or breaking even..seems pointless to me..the yard looks pretty cool though, wouldn't mind checking it out sometime if I'm ever in the area

Just what i was thinking!

Who knew 390s were rare! If you could see this yard, you would relize that they have to have about 200 of them or so. And that's just THAT yard! They have two or three!!!

We were asked to come up to the yard on a hundred five degree day, but not told what was going on. One by one we were instructed to come into the yard and then parked just so... I never saw them shooting footage of my car as I came in, I was too busy watching the felt hat L.A. hipster crew swelter in the heat! I kinda figured we were there to be the adoring throngs that gathered to see their latest mechanical work of art! Never thought we were to be a car show...

I saw the one about the T-bird they "restored". The son wanted to cut it up for parts then acted like he made automotive history when it was finished. Then his dad found where they missed painting the right quarter panel.

Lame.

 

That show is poop.

 

The Barracuda show they just had was stupid in how they did it. Clearly they showed it was a 6cyl and they were talking how good of shape it was in for a v8 car and that they wanted to paint it with the stripes. Turned out nice though. Really they are just promoting their own auction.

 

totally fake. but i assume the yard is real. wouldn't mind walkin around in it once. anyone remember the movie THE WRAITH? i think the son from the show was the little gutter kid that rode around in the barracuda in the movie. think about it-

 

That show is so damn bad its like a train wreck and you cant help but watch. Last week i saw the guy that does the auction set up at the supermarket and it was so hard not to go up to him and tell him you got to be fucking kidding me how can younot be embarresd about how bad that show is but my wife toldme to be nice and not say anything. That was cool seeing you car though
