The best time to go to Starbird is thursday/setup day.

You get in free and get to spend all day (7 hours/feet hurt) catching up with your buds and checkin out all the cool:rolleyes: rides.
I brought the camera and took about 150 pics, but after i got home and edited them, I picked just a handful that I thought were worthy of this place...along with a couple of What Were They Thinking cars.

This first little modified was amazing. It took the owner 10 years from start to finish and he debuted it here. Stunning little car...the fit/finish/details were refreshing. You can tell the owner is a machinist. The motor was a Pinto dolled up to look like a Frontenac...it was awesome...but by the time he got around to showing it my battery died.

    more pics coming...

5...The Kookie Kar tribute car was sweet! The guys that built it came up from OKC and I'm glad they did....never got to see a RotoPhase distributor up close before.

Thanks for the pix ! The crowds get really big on Fri.Nite/Saturday, so it was cool that you got in for set-up.

This is one of the first times I haven't gotten to go, so your pix helped !

Jack Trepanier took me under his wing and gave me the 50 cent tour of Troy's latest creation...I can't remember what it used to be...anyway he says it took 9000 hours at $70/hr for the labor alone, not counting parts.

I'd have 6 Rolling Bones cars for that much change...

I wouldn't mind having this little 40 pickemup...both sides were finished differently...I liked it and didn't even notice at first until the owner pointed it out. Had a complete Heidts chassis underneath and a sweet little flathead.
