Just got it home today - 54 Caddy - 2 door coupe - not a Deville. Came with a copy of the original owners title. Also has her "Owners Service Policy" and "Cadillac Identification Card." I'll scan and post pics of the papers later. Very solid body - nominal rust. Originally all black - yellow paint in early 80's. Last used about 10 years ago. I have to finish my current project before I can start this one. I need more self control. All Cad fans please chime in with info trivia as this is my first 50's Caddy!

what no yard cops or grumpy neighbors must be a lost part of America.

  8. Did you find where the gas cap is? My neighbor had one just like it when I was a kid! Can still remember pressing that reflector on the drivers side tail light!

That's a nice one even as it sits right now! I love the 54-56 Cadillacs and they're getting hard to find by each day.

Congratulations. I would love to have one like her. I love the early 50 caddies and 54 is my birth year.

if that's the original paint you might consider killing the surface rust with metal prep and enjoy that cad 'as is'!! nice!

Congrats on your first fifties Caddy! Did you decide to keep the 61? I love that thing but I can't buy any more projects until I finish what I have.

It's still here - haven't tried to sell it for awhile. Probably gonna make a couch out of the back and pull the engine for a later build. Tragic I know.

Just started looking through rubber kits on Kanter and had to get out the defib paddles. :) Gotta pay to play I suppose.

Time to start researching what other 54 GM parts will swap.

Nice ride! That looks to be in very nice condition. I just bought a 62 convertible, selling a 62 sedan and just sold a 57 coupe project car. Keepin' it Caddy!
