I remember reading an article as a kid (mid 1970's) about hotrods in the 50's. I wish I could remember where I saw this, but a photo in the article showed a roadster with a somewhat primitive interpritation of Mickey Mouse on the rear quarter. The caption of the photo talked about how Disneyland was new, and this type of art was somewhat common on cars of the day. I've also seen some similar artwork such as playing cards (somone's coupe on the Hamb) that looked of the era. I'm really interested in knowing what type of artwork was out there in the mid 50's to early 60's on non-show type cars. Nothing over the top, just cool artwork. Anyone have something to offer up?

    thanks much,
