  6. Well ill make a condensed story out of a confusing one. We came upon a MINT 32 five window body that had been unmolested. The rolling chassis for the most part as you see here minus tires and wheels and color and some fabwork on our part was what was powering this deuce. The late Barry Lobeck overhauled the chassis 12 or so years ago, a really well built piece.
My old man had a guy he does business with back in Virginia that had been dying for a hot rod, so we took the model a body we have here and decided to build a good little first "traditional street rod" for him. Four bar, discs on the front, automatic tranny... We tried to hide those non friendly items as best we could and i think we did alright.
Ill give the credit to my dad, he did most of the work on this one. I c notched the frame and did some repair welding on the chassis around christmas time when i visited home, as well as cleaned up and painted the engine. He brought the body here to Cincy a couple weeks ago and Brandon did a KILLER job on the paint, it really came together well even though we were a bit unsure in the beginning. That silver flexin flat is some wild stuff!

Ill be driving the car to Detroit in a couple weeks if the weathers not too horrible, and leaving from Cincinnati and driving to the Lonestar Roundup in April.

Heres the rolling chassis as it was friday night..

Very cool, can't wait to see it in Detroit!

  13. NO NO NO Brian. ha ha. Not with this one. It's too damn nice, and its a deuce after all. We got too many digger projects to get goin as it is. And a stout oldsmobile in a bantam bodied dragster to get running correctly. Slowly, but surely.
