First off yes I searched, but found no difinitive answer, I'm looking for a carb kit for a small base rochester 2G The only markings on it are on the top plate, they are simply made in the usa RP GM 2 JET rochester, no tag, no number on the fuel bowl. the vac. can on the choke plate reads BC 26310. I know not much to go on. I have been lead to think that 96139B will work but they are special order from my local parts house, that means no refunds, no returns. Thanks guys Keith

Rochesters had tags till 68, then the numbers were stamped on the side of the bowl. Not much help but at least that tells you your carb is '67 or older.

If you got to order it, you might want to send a pic of it over to CARBKING here and see what he can do. He builds and sells kits. He's helped folks in the past.

Has the newer "divorced" type choke setup, no number stamp, looks like chevy linkage arm, guessing it's from a 64-67ish Chevy car with a 283.

Most of the G2s without an automatic choke are off Pickups. Oreilly's buys kits from Walker and should have it. Any G2 kit for an early Chevy should work. You can also call AFLA Products Inc., They are in Mo. phone (314) 821-6037. They build and sell all sorts of kits for most any old vehicle you might have.

Thanks guy's i called the local parts house, they had ones that x-refed to Sorrenson number96-341, 96-111D, and 91-39B. How in the heck can 1 napa number cross to 3 diff numbers from the same company?? To bad none of them in stock, the guy on the phone at the place with the Sorrenson said he has no idea why I'm "monkeying" with a carbs. I called my buddy at NAPA he should have them by end of the week Thanks again guys Keith

I found 3 kits for $5.25 each at rock auto. Kemparts 15512A. Showed them for a 1972 Pontiac Ventura 307. Think they will work? Hell for $15 I might grab them just to see. Keith

Well the kits from the pontiac will NOT work, I swapped them out for the before mentioned kits the GP Sorenson kits. Best part was the guy behind the counter I've never seen before when he noticed I had 3 2g carb kits he started poking around asking about hot rods. Turns out he is an old rodder, filling in for his buddy. Invites me over to his place next weekend to see his 32 Tudor Ford and '40 Ford convertible. Can't wait. Talk about timing. Keith
