I want to build a bed for my T-Bucket, something around 28" to 30" long, and i needs some inspiration. Pickup bed or flat bed, post up some pictures. It's currently torn down for new interior and paint. Interior will be black and for now the body will be in black primer. The Centerlines will go i just haven't decided on what rims i want to run yet.
Over the years I've seen just about every flavor of T bucket bed. Cut down Ford, all wood flatbed, wood and metal flat bed, stake bed all varnished up, formed up steel bed. The good things about doing a T bucket pickup is that there is really no wrong way, some ways just look a bit better than others.
Here's the one I built for a '29 roadster pick up, Everything is 16ga. except for the pockets. They are 10ga. Ron
Man the skills of some of you people here. Nice Ive seen that TurkeyJerk pic before. Made me laugh then too. Cool car, crazy lookin guy. Snubby I bet youre gonna run them C'lines. Youre just tellin us you arent. hahaha. Nice car
You gonna run big n littles or something like T'jerk is runnin????? Also are you keeping the roadster headers???
I'm thinking about sandblasting the headers and painting them white with these mufflers: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCI-FTD3035/ Since the tires are pretty new i'll keep 'em.
you have a short wheel base & you wheels ar set back alot.If you run anything over 14-16" it will look Odd.too much will hang over teh back,Maybe you can get away with20" JimV
You know that is not a bad looking looking T. I agree the centerlines need to go. From the earth. Dennis DeBeniditis in the '60 had the same problem with a turdledeck. He bought a fiberglass bed and here is what the result was. You wouldn't go too far wrong following his lead. And if anybody knows where this roadster is now we need to do a follow up. Look at the convex dash. I talked to Dennis a few months ago and he doesn't have any idea where it is.
It's an old build and has a lot of road rash. Supposedly it was built in 1971. Maybe i should by a '70's Camaro to use the rims on. That is one cool T-Bucket.
