    OK...

Remember that you are on the HAMB, and we like to keep the content to mid '60s and older ( in both year and buildstyle )

We make exceptions for some stuff, and thats why we've let a lot slide on this Thread.

If any more Discussion about this is necessary, go to the Q & S Forum.

There is a Thread about this that was started the last time the content on this Thread went way to modern ( that time, I even had to Delete a brand new S10 Truck, and crap like that...)

I'll be happy to answer your questions there.

  14. Nicely said, and I'll repeat it for emphasis: This IS NOT just another car talk message board!

This isn't an outrageous request and those who are participating in someone else's forum shouldn't try to rewrite the rules to suit their own needs and desires. (I've been very guilty of posting OT stuff, and I see no problem in focusing my efforts.)

This thread is about a specific period of time. I raced in the 70's & 80's I wouldn't think of posting any of my photos from that era, even though I started with a FED it still wouldn't have fit in this thread.

They aren't asking for the impossible, please keep this thread as it was intended.....

Great responses concerning "the nostalgia era". What I like about this site is that it is a reminiscence of the days when I could ask a fan to help me pack the chute or hold the funnel when mixing some nitro. It was a time to interact with the crowd and having a breww after the race with the crowd. It was a time when making tuning decisions depended on what the spark plugs told you rather than computers. A time when we experimented with altered wheelbases and making rosin burnouts. Boy, if I knew that we could have autographed and sold the pistons and used slicks we may still be racing. Well, dream on. For those who have posted memories of the "good times" KEEP IT COMING, but adhere to the traditional rule. Smoke the tires till the treads show. Mike

Thanks for posting some cool NW pics Gary. However, I'd say these are from Seattle rather than Woodburn.

  20. THE LONER in his century olds top gasser....

Nancy has gotta be one of the most underrated drag racers of all time. Yeah, his upholstery work is the most famous there is but his 60s and early 70s exploits arent touched upon as much as they should be. The man towed, worked in the pits, and raced by himself. There is a reason he was called the Loner after all..

Guys, especially you new guys....read this and read it again if you don't understand the first time.
This is a period thread on a period oriented site.
If you don't like it here, there are tons of drag racing sites that will be a perfect place for you.
The above statement is from a moderator who knows what the parameters are for the HAMB. Please respect his concerns.
His concerns represent most all HAMB members. Thanks.
