Seco drive hub disassembly

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by cornfieldrodder, Jan 16, 2011.

  1. I'm pulling an E85 burning 4 cylinder out of an old Edmonds midget racer. It has a Seco drive hub at the engine. There is the drive hub, engine plate, part of the bell housing, flex plate. It has a starter, but I don't think that matters. I split the ball flange, slid the ball tube back and see the U-joint. I was under the impression that the hub on the flywheel was splined, but i can get no movement. Anyone out there with any experience with these? I wish SJFast was still around.

  2. Never mind, it was easy enough to figure out. The flywheel hub was simply held on with four bolts that were hard to see till I moved the engine a bit.
