Ive been wanting some wide whites for a while now, but cant currently afford the big prices for them. I bought a new set of cooper radials for my 50 Chevy led sled ( yes it has a lot of lead instead of bondo) and thought about trying the grinding method. I bought an extra tire to experiment on and was amazed that in ony had about an inch of white rubber under the black! most Ive seen on here at least have about a 2 inch one. Oh well, i will just have to make do for now. I thouth about painting one, but Im afraid of the bleed through that turns the whitewall brown. any suggestions?:confused::confused:

I used a set of Uniroyal Tiger Paws. 2 3/4" of white with no break or misalignment.
