I realize this was entered a long time ago(I just became a member in 2011, and I am going through the entire thread again!), but it reminded me of a picture I found recently.
Josh, it is great to see someone in your generation carry on the artistic skills from previous generations...I really mean that.
Racer5c, it is cool getting your input from your life's experiences.
And that goes for the rest of you who regularly post here.
You guys from Ok, KS, TX will know who Emmett is. For one thing he is the promoter for the Chili Bowl in Tulsa

Thank you, Brian26. Great footage. Some of it also makes me remember how much fun it was flagging from the track.

    Brian26,

Thanks for posting the video. Yep, that is what it is all about! I have his "Racing Classics" videos, his books are great also, plenty of pics.

Earl Haliquist is in the white 2 (george Nestler's car)
The black 3 with the busted axle is Jerry Karl, Buildy can confirm

No, Dorney Park is another track.

    Allentown was at the fairgrounds.

    Jim Nise,

Not sure about the # 3 Caruso. Jerry told me many years later that he drove the Caruso #3 once.
He said it was at Thompson Conn. He liked the car,but said the Offy in it couldn`t run with the Chevys, not enough power.

As I say,he told me this later and memory is not always 100 percent.

Is that photo of the #3 at Nazareth?

I did get to see him race(it was after that major injury). He was in the Wilson 25 Super, and he won the feature at the Tulsa Fairgrounds. Opp stayed down low the entire race while the rest of the pack was running high. There was an article about him not long after that race. Bob

Some neat shots over the last few days! Also- the badger restoration looks great! That's a car with a lot of history to it. I'm pretty sure Johnny Parsons ran that car on dirt at Limaland, Ohio in the early 80's. They got the time trials in, but the race was rained out. I'm just mentioning it as it was very unusual to see a roadster on dirt. I did see a couple in the Dick Wallen video, though.

Brian that was the best video I have in a while on early sprinters!!

Next on my list is to rebuild some calipers on my midget project. I have 4 airheart calipers. As you can see on the picture I have 2 early and 2 later ones. The ones on the right are the later ones and are called 175qc x1 I think. I can get rebuild kits from speedway for these. The ones on the left I cannot find any info on. Speedway sells several rebuild kits but I am not sure what these are called. I know they are not 150's or 175h's.

Any idea on what they are called? Or have rebuild kits laying around.

    Thanks
