I think that is the car my friend use to race against at Detroit Dragway in '67-'68. It was blue at that time. They had grudge racing and test and tune on Wednesdays back then. We were there every wednesday. My friend had a L88 '67 red Corvette. The Corvette had "Scatcat" painted on the side at one time.

Congrats to Skeeter!!! Tell him although a little painful, do not pull that horse shoe out!:p He has 5 months to get it ready for Steel In Motion at Shadyside Dragway in Shelby N.C. on May 21st. With the horse shoe, it should be ready by then!

Maybe but right now he's working on a '50 Ford Coupe which is coming out nice. This one might wait a bit before he gets on the road. Especially since we need to hash how the details and such of it's past. But once he does get working he works rather fast! He already has a new chassis pretty much ready for this car since the one that's under is kind of cobbled up with some unsafe looking welds.

Well, it ain't gonna hurt it to park it out back for a while. Damned if that isn't the deal of the year (so far). You guys are just having too much fun (this, Del's chop, JJ's 35, etc.) Guess I'll have to make the next Wed. nite. vic

Has he passed away? Look at the "ghosts" in several of the pics.
Better treat it nice. He'll haunt you forever if you don't.
    Or maybe he will anyway.:D

The friend that owned the corvette was Horrie Wiles. He lived in Royal Oak. He died a few years ago. I don't remember the name of the guy that had the '40.

JJ's pics are awesome!! Skeeter is a lucky dude for sure. I've lost count, how many '39/'40 Fords does this make for him? I wish I had those kinds of problems, haha!
