That thing is awesome....and I want it. I will trade you a '33 3w, '32 5w (rough) and my mother to have it.:D:D:D

Memphis Rodders have some damn cool history. I have a big picture of 3dnsouth's roadster that was a well known Memphis Rodders hot rod hanging above his crib. Great score!

I knew very little about the car at first. If you read the article, you saw how and when I aquired it.
I was fortunate to meet Jack several years ago. Got some great stories and pictures from him that I copied.
I asked him what his best time was that he could remember.
He said about 11 @ 111. Not bad for a little flatty motor in a street car.
He used to keep it at a service station on the north side of Memphis.
He said he'd call up (don't remember the name now :() and tell him to get the car ready and when he'd get there the car would be washed and filled up with gas ready to hop in and take off.
    Must have been nice...
I spent the last 4-5 years off and on getting my 55 to a point and let the
work shop get out of hand.

I've gotten most of that cleaned up now. A section at a time.
I'm still working on it. I feel it's going to take most of the winter to really get it done. It's a right mess.
But then it's back on the coupe! I joined the HAMB a few years ago but haven't posted much until lately.
Once the build gets back in gear, I'll let y'all know how it's going.

I've been building the roadster for 5 years now and on the tail end. Just picked up the sedan this fall.

My dad chased this car for around 30 years and finally got his hands on it in 99. SoCal dry storage car since 57. Not an ounce of cancer. Been sitting since 05, gets fired up every now and again. I'm sure my brother and I will get to fight over it one day. Funny thing is its probably within 20 miles of the guy who started this thread.

  10. Figured you guys would be able to answer this.... I've always loved '32 Fords, but I've never sat in one....I'm curious how tight a fit it would be to get in one. I'm 6'5" 290 lbs.
My grandpa used to have a '33 Ford three window and I fit in that car just fine...is there a big difference between '32 and '33 interior space?

I can finally say I am a deuce owner! Found this 32 fordor locally. Parked in the same spot since 77 and who knows how long it sat before that. Has some 50's influcence to it.

I am only 6 foot 2 inches tall but was 335 lbs.
I fit in my 32 roadster and 32 3W snugly but comfortable.
I drive either of them 500/600 miles in a day without issue.

I have lost a decent amount of weight and I do FIT
    a LOT better NOW :D :D

  17. Randy, you're looking great! At our age it sure isn't easy!

Gary, you're worrying me! I think you're working too hard in the shop and need to take some time off to come out for the GNRS!

I was lucky enough to get a 3 window off of Bob Bleed last year. He also gave me a 3 window that had the top chopped off to convert it to a roadster as part of the deal.

For now just recouping a little and start collecting parts. The fathers day show can't come soon enough! I'm thinking a 5W version of Bass' new build, The Texas Playboy. Or maybe like Brent Bell's 5W. For now, I'm gonna go remove that hideous insert!:D
