Gday HAMBers, hope you all had a bloody good Christmas. I thought Id just like to start off by saying what a wonderful resource this site is, especially for somebody starting their first build such as myself. There is so much useful information that cant be found anywhere else the site is a credit to those who contribute and whoever was responsible for setting it up in the first place. Ive been collecting parts for my new project for the last 6 months, and although the build is progressing slowly id rather make sure its done to the highest possible standards. Oh and by the way its a 1928 ford roadster, being built to early 50's style 28downunder
hey aussie very true words,i pick up more on here than anywhere or by readin any amount of books,i don't tend to contribute much,if at all, but haunt the gospel on here daily deano
I'm glad you seem to understand what this place is about. I hope you've studied the period correct 1940's hot rods thread. Welcome
hmmm lets not talk about the cricket... I would post some pics, but at this stage its not much more than an original chassis and front end. Ive sourced some Buick drums and hope to run them with 39 Lincoln backing plates; does anybody know if 29RAT still sells his adaptor to allow ford spindles to be used with the Buick hubs? Im gonna start a build thread when things start moving at a decent pace but at this stage its mostly planning and figuring out what parts are compatible with what etc. Im also looking for a v8 banjo rear end so if anybody local (Aus) has one for sale or knows of somebody who does it would be much appreciated if they could PM me. Cheers 28downunder
Pm'd a welcome to you and a heads up re the 39 lincoln Brakes What mill abd trans are you going to run in your hot rod?
I intend to run a 8BA flathead in the long term, but initially its gonna be a banger motor with a three speed, mainly so I can get it registered as an original car
