Dude, you're a freakin rocket scientist. I've been watching the full life of this and I have to say its really good. Lots of technical feats have been accomplished on that car. I'm looking forward to seeing the car all back together and tearing up the street across the pond.

Thanks for all the coments I have begin to look how to fill the gas tank I have three diffrent thougts about it. One is to fill in the left rear light. Another is to fill in the left side panel or the last is to fill in behind the trunk lid. All of them have some problems. Behind the light is not so easy to do. I the left side is not so good looking the filler neck must turn little to mutch for easy filling. Fill in behind the trunk lid is easy to do and looks good but east to spill in the trunk an is poseble it smells gas in the car. Witch is to prefere to do?? I have begin to restore the hinges and it was necesary to drill out the screws and the hinge pin on the first of them. /Stefan
I like your project. That's A LOT of work, and it comes out real real nice. About the filler: I would go for filler in trunk...
If you run a vented cap you will have the same gas smell problem also. Tank vent to the fender well. Run it out and up towards the top of the inner fender, and coil it up. One or two loops is sufficient. I add a piece of rubber hose to the end with a large carb jet stuck inside. The idea is to vent pressure not fumes. Gas fumes equals evaporation which equals loss of fuel. I use some copper or aluminum tubing. I like the ideal of filler in the trunk. I did one with a stainless "pan" around it. So it didn't stain the carpeting and It had a small drain hole. I could wash it out if I spilled some. Just a thought.
