Happy Birthday Pete Chapouris ( So- Cal ) Billy Gibbons ( ZZ Top )

Well today December 16 th are Pete Chapouris and Billy Gibbons Birthday two well known car guys Pete who has build over the years numerous cars. Billy Gibbons also has a nice collection of cars as we all know. This past Friday December 10th I was one of the lucky ones to have been invited by Frank and Mary owner of the So-Cal here in Phoenix AZ. The evening started with a presentation done by Frank having Pete Chapouris and Alex Xydias and showing us a slide show where all of them started in the business years ago. Mid way into the slide show Billy Gibbons shows up,everyone was totally surprized. After the slide show everyone was able to have their pictures or autograph done. Pete had mentioned that his Birthday and Billy were on the same day Thursday December 16 th and I responded to them that my Birthday was also in the same week Monday so I decided to ask both of them if they wanted to have a picture taken with all of us together no problem both replied. I proceeded outside of the shop with a friend of mine Asher Emerson my pinstriper to have a picture taken next to the So-Cal 32 recently done with a new engine. The next day So-Cal had their monthly get together swap meet I decided to bring out my 32. A few hours later Pete and Alex show up for the event before flying out . Alex stopped by to take a look at my car and commented with my recent build of the car and was surprised to see the V12 engine in the car I than asked Alex if he would mind sitting in the car for a few pictures. All I can say this was an early Birthday present for me having my picture taken with well known car people. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!! Being both a car guy and a guitar player, Billy is one if the gods I worship. I strive for his tone, style, his Bad Assness.....all of which I'll never achieve. So-Cal has done so much for our hobby..... Where to start?
