Billetproof is back in Florida for the 4th year! Last year 450 hot rods braved the cold/wet weather and had the last laugh when the day ended up being sunny and warm in the afternoon. Come on out to the Alachua County Fairgrounds in Gainesville, FL. There is plenty of room for hot rods and customs, vendors and a huge swap meet.

• Spectator entrance opens at 9am - $10/person (12 and under, Police, Fire and Active Military are Free. College students $5 with ID)

PLEASE remember that this is an event for those of us who build our own traditional style rods and customs on a limited budget. NO billet-clad, digital gauge, pastel graphic, named after a fifties song trailer queens! Cardboard wheel covers are verboten this year. That was a little inside joke that has run its course.

No cardboard wheel covers? Some guys just don't know when to quit. Ha ha. Can't wait.

 

we appreciate your enthusiasm for getting your bitchin car into the show, and your creativity ... actually the photo copied covers you had for your car looked REALLY good... and we were all bowled over by it when you pulled up the first year.. we HAD to let you in...

however....

over the years others have taken it to the next step and have started showing up with shitty versions of your finely crafted work and then taking them off when just inside the gate... which leaves me to get all of the "I went to Billetproof and saw a car with Billet Wheels maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!" type of complaints. So its a funny joke between friends and that spread to others and has now run its course.

Not bad mouthing you, in fact, I really dig your car and enjoyed the humor, effort and creativity you showed in crafting your wheel covers. But its time for the trend to come to an end.

That being said, you car looks REALLY good with the type of tires and wheels you put on the wheel covers.

The guy that painted his billet wheels flat black last year was certainly in the right spirit.

 

wow, FINALLY ! this year our vacation is timed perfectly, we'll be in central FLA til the 11th, I'll be a walk in, but I'll be there !!!

Well it is not looking good for me to be there this year but I will most definitely be doing the "Body Basher" trophy if it is okay.

I'm really diggin' this venue! It's a nice ride up there from the central west coast of Fla. too. We'll be sure to bring our rain jackets, just incase.

Is there a Minibike class/show this year?

 

New Guy here, but after what I saw at the Billetproof drags in lakeland, a mini bike class would be super. There were some really slick mini bikes in attendance and from what I saw unfinished, mini bikes are coming on strong.

something tells me I'm about to get orders someplace...haha! Each and every time Billetproof comes around, I get sent someplace shitty for a few months...great...

maybe I'll be able to make BP FL this year. Pray for me! hahah

 

I made it to the first one at Big Dadd's place....had a blast. Been trying to get back ever since.

Now I am tring to decide....Billetproof or AutoFair in Charlotte....(same weekend)

I'll have to sleep on this one...

Never the less.....I am sure it will be an awesome show....
