I have a suspicion concerning my engine in my '54. I'm looking for confirmation or otherwise.
Here are the pics from the driver's side of the "8".
See that the discolouration is half-and-half?
    What say you?

  2. are those really out of the same engine? from the same bank?

    wow

the bottom pic plug looks like its not firing

first and third look like too many aditives

    second plug is cooked

  3. It also looks liek two different types of plugs. Two have the little Iridium looking tips, two don't. And how many miles are on those things!

  4. Very short sentance they say "You are sooo screwed"

What did you find out since we spoke? head gasket?

Nothing bubbling in the radiator cranking it over.
Haven't got it to light off out in the cold. I will put it in the garage and try again to start it, then check what's happening in the radiator if anything. There are about 3000 miles on the engine...

Two different plug types, not good on any engine, one running shitty fuel,2nd looks like fouling from oil. You got more problems than just the mismatched plugs.

  9. I'm going out to finish the ball joints on the econo-box as soon as I eat lunch. I got to pick the missus up @ 4, call me and we'll make arrangements to sort it out. No reason to work alone of you don't have to.
