An ederly friend was going thru some her stuff and found an old aniversary token token that she was given from the ford dealer back in the day and I was curious how rare it is and if it is worth anything. It was for ford's 30th anniv. here are a couple pics [IMG] [IMG]

That is really cool and unique,,,,worth more to have than sell!

  4. I used to see lots of them in the trinket cases at Hershey. I don't think they're uber rare.

It is worth more as a gift from a friend than out on the open market. Nice that she thought of you when she found it.

They are on Ebay regularly in the 20-25 dollar range. They made one for the 1934 exposition also. I got the bright idea:D to make a shift knob with one only to discover that they actually did make a special shift knob for that show. The real ones are more rounded on top. The original shift knobs are pretty pricey but I like mine anyway.:D The knob is a 2.00 universal bakelite knob for lawn mowers and such.

not real rare, nut this cool

I have this "giveaway" item from the World's Fair....in 1934
There is still plenty of these around, so I didn't feel too bad drilling a hole in it for my key chain for my '34

as you know Ford was a real big deal at that fair.
Also, you can find a token like yours in a shift know...fairly rare, but they are still on the auction sight...
old stuff is cool one way or the other

cool. I like the shift knob idea. I wasn't planning to sell, just curious how many are out there.
