Heres the green one I picked up this summer. True 40,000 mile truck. 292 with granny 4 speed. 3 inch dropped axle from Sid, c notch rear, been gettin the patina on it.
Red steelies and wide whites to come. Also a faded sign on the door.

Saw this one for sale at a used parts yard last week. A "factory built" 1960 crew cab.

No bumper? How are you gonna pull a load?
If you cant pull a trailer, its not really a truck.

  16. Real trucks don't pull with their bumpers. Hitches should be welded to the frame. Besides, a lot of the trucks shown here don't look like they're intended to do much towing anyway...

I know it's not a 1-1 truck . Still, I restored it from a kit that was built eons ago . It's a 1960 and it will become partof a 1-25th scale crown Central service station when I'm all said an done :

JUST PICKED UP A NEW SHORT TERM DRIVER 59 F100 YESTERDAY. COULDNT BEAT THE PRICE (2 OLD 70's JAP CYCLE TANKS & A COUPLE OF FENDERS) . NOT TO SHABBY FOR ONE WITH A RUNNING 292/4 SPEED TRUCK THAT ONLY LACKS TIRES TO BE ON THE ROAD........ ILL HAVE TO LOAD SOME PICS TOMORROW.THINKING OF FLIPPING THE FRONT & REAR FOR NOW. JUST UNTIL I CAN SCRATCH TOGETHER THE CHANGE FOR MONOS & A DROP AXLE THOUGH. I KNOW ITLL RIDE LIKE SHIT , BUT HOW MUCH LOWER CAN I EXPECT? WOULD REMOVING SOME LEAFS DROP IT MORE? & HAS ANYONE ELSE FLIPPED THEIR FRONT BEFORE?????

I bought a 60 and so far I have changed out the wheels and tires to make it more drivable. Planning on flipping axles soon. This thread is great.
