Well guy's and gal's we found out what the tailights are, 1958 Mercury. with the chrome spear removed, several sets were welded together. Who has a set or 2 of these laying around. BB
Bob, when I nearly bought this car 13 years ago all those taillight parts where included. Rick should contact the guy he got it from. maybe he has them still
hey showrod, was going to tell you about this, i just found it today> if you are interested dad and the gang are trying to meet for lunch sat. 11th. at bucks again. tom
Tried that angle, they didn't come with the car when he got it and Kurt M. said that they were not with the car when he got it either. BB
Boy that car sure had alot of interested buyers over the years. I was one also back in the 80's and had a stack of over 50 photos of it at one time from the seller. I had to return them when I passed on the project. Glad to see it again and something finally happening to it.
Not trying to Hijack this thread, but does anyone have pics of the lincoln (upper right) in the background???
I will email the original builder/owner of the Lincoln and ask if he has photos. The 1960 Chev, next to the Lincoln, is still owned by the original owner/builder. A few years ago, he got caught up in doing some tasteless updates, like 18 inch wheels, rubber band tires, lifted the chassis and a padded rear half vinyl roof. Curt R
hey Bob K...I dont know if your still looking but I have 1 complete tail light with the ring you seek on it. let me know, showrod
Wow! that selling address is two blocks down Hope Ave. where I spent my hotrodding high school years. Next time I have my Pontiac over to my Moms I am going to pull over for a beer. I will have to find a sober stanger to drive me home of course. I hope she's hot, dirty, topless, and not too fast. I prefer the original top it keeps it's history and plus I will like it! Let's see some current pic's. This is the style radical custom I love best and love to see more of and anyone with negative opinions of the past only bury it. Keep immortality alive and resurrect. I was not alive then and I would not like to see fake imatations of the past. This car deserves 100% perfection to original show status. This is the roof line the original builder was probably after. Let's see some pictures of whats left so we can help.
