Cool that you found another one to restore Scoob. Maybe you should put a note at the front of the first post in the thread to not post to the thread until they read page ten.

Anybody got anyone they want to recommend to haul this thing? I've tried my usual HAMB suspects but no luck on the timing. I've also got a 61 Lincoln convertible down there that needs to come back home to me.

I have a buddy that hauls for all the local collectors that would go but he can only haul one at a time.

He'd leave though the moment you called him. He has an open and enclosed trailer, but again, one at a time.

If you are interested in talking to him I can send you the number.

Slow down. Get the car back to you or a tow pound and get a good look at it. It looks repairable to me. You should be able to get a front end for the car and the 1/4's are probably the same as a sedan. A good frame man could make a huge change in the look after some rough pulls on the frame and body. Then you can really see if it's repairable.

I fixed a 289 Cobra that had driven into the back of a Pickup truck. Everyone said it couldn't be fixed. (The damage was back to the rockers under the doors)
But with some correct pulling and aligning of the frame and body we were able to save the car. Metal finished the front end of the aluminum body and we were good to go!!

So get a hold of the car and find the best frame tech in your area and have him look at it and go from there.

Feel free to drop me a line:

Kind of funny update in case anyone cares. I was researching the history of the new one and found out the dealer himself bought it new in 1959 for his mother. Then he bought an identical one for himself. So of the 78 made, this guy owned two of them.

My car was later sold by the dealer but eventually traded back in to him in 1970 where it got parked in the barn on his property for the next 40 years until I bought it. I said "so what happened to the other one?".

"It's still in the barn. You want it?".

    Pictures on the way.

If I can prove my original wrecked car (#1) is Sinatra's, I'm going to use this one (#3) to fix it. I got my "new" one running this week (#2). I'm starting to wonder if I can get all 78 of them. :)

The problem is going to be those Pesky Elvis and Queen Elizabeth cars. The seem to keep wanting large six figure prices on those. If it would have just been Elvis Costello and Queen Latifah, they'd be sitting in my driveway right now.

  21. You: "How many do ya got?"

Him: "How many do you want?"

Some days the old car gods smile upon you.

  22. Scoob, make one into a gasser!:)

  23. Haha, that's funny!

I also like the club idea - start a new thread titled "Who wants to start a 1959 Hess and Eisenhardt Lincoln Club?" :D
