Event Coverage 2010 Hunnert Car Pile Up 735 Photos

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Retribution, Oct 10, 2010.

  1. Amazing amount of work to get all those shots, upload them, and them post them for all to see. I probably got around 250 shots and was there all day. I swear I missed 1/4 of what you've covered here.
Agreed, people for the most part were very courteous when I was trying to get shots of the cars, and trying to get the right angle to avoid reflections and sun flare, but still it takes time and patience.
A HUGE Thank You for this thread!!!

great show this year, we had a smoother time at inspection and car gate. was great to work the 9-11 shift to see em all rolling in. absolutely love that pink skyliner. and that '49 patina club coupe;)

I think that is the most shit rod trucks I have ever seen in one spot. they should have had a giant forklift and a crusher on site.

on a positive note, thanks for taking the time to post all the cool cars that were there.

You are the man when it comes to snapping the pics. If I know you are somewhere that I am at, I don't take a single picture because I know you are on top of it! Heck I didn't even go look at all the cars because I knew I would see them in your thread. Thanks!

This one's mine. It was stock height with steel wheels and poverty caps two days before. Drove it from Atlanta (about 645 miles each way) to cover the show for Hot Rod Deluxe and Classic Trucks.
My 15 year old (Boy Wonder) and his friend lowered the truck and changed the oil in it on Wednesday, pulled the 5-slots out of the attic and mounted them on Thursday morning, and we left on Thursday afternoon.
Boy Wonder has grown up around this stuff, so it's not a big deal for him. His friend had never been on a big road trip before, and had never been to a big show like that. He may be hooked... the day they lowered the truck, he said "I may be spending a lot more time around here... if you ever need help doing anything, let me know." In passing, while getting the tools to change the coil springs and crank down the t-bars, I commented that I needed to clean and organize my shop.
When we got back into Atlanta late Sunday night, out of the blue he said "You said you were gonna clean up your shop this week? Call me, and I'll come over and help."

I think he had a good time, and enjoyed the hell out of the show.

    -Brad

Thanks for posting. It looks a great show. Hard to see what the miseries (other thread) are complaining about.
