Well the Lone Star Nationals was HUGE again this year. That's why Goodguys is adding a second (Spring) event in 2011!

This is a HARD event to shoot because of how close all the cars are to each other, but here's what I saw...

Great shots, amazing cars, I want that speed boat hood ornament! The emerald green coupe is beautiful. Nothing but superlatives all around.

    Thanks, John

I personally think it's terrible that Meadors would make all those rodders park out in the dirt and dustdevils...thank goodness they finally paved the track

Five of us drove up to Fort Worth on Saturday morning an went back to Houston that evening. The show was worth it as it always is. The reason the cars are close together is to get them all in the show. I may be off a few hundred but there were probably 2000 vehicles on display plus the car corral and swap meet stuff.

Only saw about ten Rat Rods, most cars were well built and I spent two hours in the vendor tent.

Great photos Kirk. I'm not usually a fan of the artsy fartsy car photo stuff but I really like the detail shots you did this time.
